The postcard appearance is not a swimming guarantee. Visit Barbados explicitly warns that the waves are very strong and bathing is not recommended. The steps and lack of facilities also make Bottom Bay a poor choice for some mobility needs, pushchairs or anyone carrying too much equipment.
